Initial Evaluation

Founder Time: ~5hr

Timeline: a few weeks to a few months

Initial evaluation is completed by the AVP team, which is typically 1-3 initial meetings with an AVP team member and founder, completed over the course of a few weeks.

If we think you are a good fit and the timing is right, we’ll schedule you to pitch at our next upcoming monthly pitch meeting.
If we think you are a good fit but the timing is not right, we’ll let you know and have you keep us updated on the company / fundraising progress. Once the timing is “right”, we’ll re-engage and re-evaluate at that time.
If it’s not a good fit, we’ll let you know as well. We believe in quick no’s when needed.

Pitch / Follow Up

Founder Time: ~5hr

Timeline: 45d Pitch to Closed

Companies selected to pitch will pitch, in person, at a monthly pitch meeting. Pitches are typically 4-5min, with 15min of Q&A.

Members will then demonstrate interest to the AVP team. If enough interest exists (expect to have >$100K commitments), 1-2 follow up calls within 1-2 weeks of the pitch will be setup.

Members will then submit firm commitments to the AVP team. If >$100K in commitments exist, an LLC will be setup and the closing process will begin.

Post-Investment

Following investment, the AVP team believes in the Hippocratic Oath:

We expect ongoing CEO company updates (monthly/quarterly) that we will share with the members so our team and your new community of investors can help support you, but will not be heavy handed.
